Chico State students to be reimbursed some fees this semester

Chico State students are still getting the education they paid for but the dorms, lecture halls and libraries are empty as the university has online-only classes.

Cases.## chico state students are staying home this semester -- but as professors keep up their work --- the university is losing revenue on the campus shutdown.

I spoke with ann sherman.

She is the vice president for business and finances at chico state.

She says as a whole, chico state is still ok from a financial standpoint.

Sherman says that students were refunded on march 22nd for fees they paid at the beginning of the semester.

Fees being reimbursed include housing, dining, parking decals, and recreational services.

"at the moment were fine because were continuing to offer both instruction and our services, so the groups that are going to have some challenges are going to be parking and housing which are those groups that were offered refunds," sherman tells me she hopes the fees being reimbursed will help students payback some of their debt to chico state.
