Coronavirus numbers by county: April 17, 2020

Updated coronavirus statistics in Oneida, Otsego and Herkimer counties.

County...fortunatel y we have not seen a spike like we did on april 9th...but we have seen a steady increase in cases.

<change > we are now up to 263 total cases...14 new ones announced today.

<change > 33 are in the hospital, 21 at mvhs, 6 at rome memorial and six outside the county.

71 people have now recovered thats up 5 from yesterday.

Oneida county health department director phyllis ellis said two new announced today... <change > there people are hospitalized, 28 have recovered...four more than thursday.

And in otsego county..some sad news to pass along one more person has died due to coronavirus, now four have died in the county.

There are 3 new cases bringing the total to 50.
