Dairy farmers support local families

Nearly 4,000 gallons of milk is being distributed to Oneida County families.

Milk is making its way to families in oneida county today.

This was at the dpw garage in oriskany where more than a dozen area school districts picked the milk up for distribution.

"dairy farmers of america" and "the american dairy association northeast" donated the milk .

It was picked up by reps from 16 school districts in the county to be delivered to area families.

20:13:30 the school lunch and breakfast program is a very important part of the school program today , and that has been continued throughout this crisis, which is so important that our kids continue to get the nutrition they need and now we are able to provide milk, again the dairy farmers who were going through a struggle even before this is really coming together :53 picente touched on farmers and their struggles as schools have been shut down.

The milk was delivered through the same avenue that school lunches are being delivered through each district.
