Baltimore Mayor Jack Young on Wednesday unveiled a revised version of the city's budget heading into fiscal year 2021.

RELEASED A REVISED VERSION OFTHE CITY'S BUDGET FOR THE NEXTFISCAL YEAR.

IT REFLECTS THELOSS OF MORE THAN 10━MILLIO━DOLLARS IN REVENUE BECAUSE OFTHE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC.

THENEW BUDGET ELIMINATES FUNDINGFOR 240 VACATION POSITIONS.AND THE CITY WILL NOT ASKEMPLOYEES TO TAKE PAYCUTS....BUT LABOR UNIONS AREASKED TO PAUSE PAY RAISES.

INTHE BALTIMORE POLICEDEPARTMENT...THE BUDGETPROPOSES REDUCING THE AMOUNTOF TIME THE POLICE HELICOPTERSARE FLOWN BY FOUR HOURS A DAY,AND OFFICERS THAT ARE ASSIGNEDTO HORSE AND MOTORCYCLE UNITSWOULD BE ASSIGNED TO FILL MOREESSENTIAL ROLES IN THEDEPARTMENT LIKE PATROL.

THECITY ESTIMATES THIS WOULD SAVENEARLY THRE━ AN━A HALF━MILLION DOLLARS.

"This was anincredible difficult budgetprocess, every city and countyin the country are facingdifficult budget decisions.Baltimore is no different fromany of them.

THE BUDGET PLADOES NOT PROPOSE ANY NEW TAXESOR FEES.

THE PROPOSAL WILL NOWMOVE TO THE CITY COUNCIL.
