North Alabama Red Cross in need of volunteers

New at five... the north alabama red cross says it needs more volunteers now more than ever.

The executive director says they're trying to help as many people as they can during emergencies.

Not only that they are hosting more blood drives.

And are trying to be well prepared for the tornado and hurricane seasons.

Khris anderson, executive director north alabama red cross: "the disasters, the single family fires, the emergency calls from the military those things are not going to stop just because we're in a pandemic and we have actually seen an increase in this."
