Many fort wayne businesses are reopening their doors as part of stage two of governor eric holcomb's back on track plan.

Fox 55's jeremy masukevich shares the challenges local business owners are facing as they prepare to welcome customers.

My first initial thought was it might be a little too soon.

Fringe salon owner bobbie gerig-plewa says she wasn't expecting to open the hair salon's doors this early.sot bobbie 19:08as soon as we got the go ahead we were getting text messages and phone calls within two minutes of the governor's statement.fringe salon is set to welcome customers back on monday.

Gerig-plewa says the staff has been busy rescheduling almost seven weeks worth of appointments.sot bobbie 19:16 as much as we are excited to get our clients back in the salon it has been a very overwhelming situation because our appointment books and scheduling are not the same as it was prior to getting shut down.for another business... the option to reopen its doors comes during one of its busiest seasons.nat cheryl 23:24its mother's day week and there is a lot going on.cheryl weney with lopshire flowers says the extra work that comes with mother's day... played into the decision to wait until friday to welcome customers.sot cheryl 23:55 23:23we need a little bit of time to get our displays back in order from being closed for 5-6 weeks.

We are going to open up either friday or saturday to walk-in traffic.

Weney says this allows more of the staff to work as delivery drivers throughout the week.a role she says will continue to be in high demand even after the holiday.sot cheryl 25:18 it's going to be a big mother's day.

There are going to be a lot of people who would prefer to send flowers to mom and grandma as opposed to going and visiting.

I think delivery to the door is going to be important for a while.

Both business owners expressed gratitude towards customers who have been patient throughout the reopening process.sot bobbie 20:20 i do have to say it's stressful, but i am so blessed because our clients have really been understanding.

I feel that once we get back in the salon, i think we are going to make a really good go at it.in fort wayne, jeremy masukevich, fox 55 news governor holcomb's back on track plan states that personal services like hair and nail salons can open their doors on monday.however, work stations must be spaced to meet social distancing guidelines and all personal services should be operating as
