2 Men Charged With Murder in Fatal Shooting of Ahmaud Arbery Gregory McMichael and his son, Travis McMichael, were taken into custody on Thursday evening.

The two men face murder and aggravated assault charges after fatally shooting Arbery near Brunswick, Georgia, in February.

The arrest comes two days after a video of the deadly altercation leaked, but over two months after the confrontation occurred.

Arbery, who was 25 years old at the time of his death, was jogging in Satilla Shores when the McMichaels chased him down and shot him.

Two district attorneys recused themselves from the case before a third, Tom Durden, requested the Georgia Bureau of Investigation take over.

According to CBS News, Gregory McMichael is a former law enforcement officer who once worked for the local district attorney.
