I'm over here with brea liddell from lucent medi spa.

Everyone today we're talking all about this amazing system and it's known as coolsculpting.

We've had amazing success with it here at lucent medi spa.

Troy thompson: okay.

Now coolsculpting is an incredible system, right?

Brea liddell: it truly is, yes.

Troy thompson: you were seeing amazing results at your clinic.

Let's talk a little bit about coolsculpting and how it works.

Brea liddell: okay.

We use applicators.

We have different types and different sizes for the type of result that you're wanting to have at the end.

Troy thompson: okay, and so when you say different applicators, i would assume you mean different sizes.

Brea liddell: different sizes because we do different areas on the body.

Troy thompson: okay, so let's talk about those areas that people are looking at doing.

Brea liddell: yes.

One of the most popular ones that we're doing right now is under the chin.

Troy thompson: oh really?

That's new.

Brea liddell: it's newer, yes.

Troy thompson: and it's fda approved, did you say?

Brea liddell: it is fda approved.

We can actually guarantee you will have tightening.

So it helps.

It's definitely an added benefit to have the tightening right under the chin area.

Troy thompson: now of course, the tummy.

We can always do the tummy.

Brea liddell: of course.

Which is also probably our other one that is most popular.

Troy thompson: okay.

Now it was interesting because i had forgotten that it's possible to do the outside of the hip area as well.

Brea liddell: : it is.

We use a different type of applicator.

The fat cells are a little more dense, the skin is a little more dense, so it takes a little bit more time for that one.

Troy thompson: okay, i got you.

All right, so let's talk about how it all works to begin with.

Brea liddell: all right, well the applicator, except for the outer thigh, pulls it into inside of it, the applicator.

And then it freezes it.

So it will become somewhat of a block of ice.

And the body will break down that dead fat cell over time.

So we don't see results immediately.

It'll take a little bit of time before you see it because it's naturally breaking it down and then getting rid of it.

Troy thompson: all right.

So let's talk about the process because i think that's super important.

People want to go, "well, what do you do with that block of ice once it's frozen?"

And which is actually your fat.

So when people come into the clinic, walk through from start to the end of the system.

Brea liddell: okay, well first of all, we would like you to come in for a free consultation so that we can give you a plan of action so we know exactly what you want for your outcome.

And we will tell you exactly what you need to have done for the best results.

And sometimes we can do that in the same day depending, but most of the time we'll have to reschedule the next appointment for you to come in then and have the actual treatment.

Brea liddell: so when you come in we ask that you wear comfy clothes, little loose fitting.

And you'll come on in.

We will mark on your body a little bit just so that we know exactly where we're doing it because it shifts when you lay down depending on the area.

Brea liddell: so then we will apply the applicator.

We have to clean the area.

We usually have a protective pad.

And then we will put the applicator on.

And depending on the size and where it's located, there's different amounts of time that wouldn't have to do it.

And then after the time has lapsed, then we will do a kneading on what you call a block of ice and kind of bring the blood back to the surface.

And that also actually helps kill even more fat cells.

So it's a very needing process.
