Details from haubstadt.

April 18th of this year was supposed to be the first scheduled race at tristate speedway, however due to the coronavirus pandemic, the track has not yet reopened its doors.

We had the track and everything all ready to go for our opening event, we had to get a little bit more organized with what our government and so on was going to let us do.

We had a meeting with jim combs, our state senator.

At that time the senator thought maybe we should send a letter to the governor.

We asked for permission to try to get open by memorial day and governor holcomb denied the request.

And as management prepares to reopen they are waiting for the start of stage 4 which is set to begin on june 14th and allows for gatherings of up to 250 people.

The information we have is that we can run up to 50 percent capacity on june 14th.

So we have had a conversation with the united states auto club out of indianapolis.

They are going to open their season here with us, that will be our opening night.

So that's already been okay-ed to do that unless something further comes up.

And as the reopening process continues, management is continuing to work to put together a safe environment for fans attending races.

We're not going to put them in a tough situation.

Family members usually sit together.

Strangers are going to know where they need to be.

And we are going to work with whatever we can and how we have to to give them a safe experience.
