A local business makes a generous donation to help feed kids who need it most.

Up food.

A local pizza shop is giving a new meaning to giving back.

"maurizio's"... in brazil... donated thousands of dollars... it's for the "clay county food delivery program."

That's after the yearly fundraiser was cancelled due to covid-19.

News 10's jordan kudisch joins us live in our studio to explain why they donated... and why they encourage others to do the same.

The ringos... the owners of the pizza shop told me..

The money was just a "small way" of giving back to those who have supported them now... and over the years.

During the pandemic... most businesses have continued to struggle.

According to the "ringos"..

They're seeing the exact opposite.

In fact..

They're pushing out orders regularly... of their famous pizza.

And with an increase in cash... they decided to give it back directly to those who have supported them... the community.

Ringo says the program needs funding to help feed kids in clay county during the summers.

That's why he's hopeful others will join in on giving back to the cause.

"again it's a community wide effort and those who can help financially do and those who can help with their time do, it's just a blessing to be part of it."

Ringo says the program is still in need of help.
