Daniels Jr., made a Facebook post Friday with anti-mask sentiment.

County Executive Anthony Picente called it "foolish" and "irresponsible."

The governor today stressed the importance of wearing masks, saying that they must be worn in stores.

Today, an oneida county legislator posted on his facebook page that he is against wearing masks.

Legislator jeffery daniels said he abides by social distancing, but claims there is no data to support a mask or cloth face covering will stop the spread of covid-19.

Daniels also posted a picture of a cloth mask, with a caption calling it a 'mind control device'.

The oneida county executive had this to say about the post.

I think it's irresponsible as an elected offi, for allhat we havgone throh and whatwe've h experts.

We have from the beginning and we'll continue to do that.

And we'll continue to put the mask and i'll continue to tell people to wear masks.

It does work" daniels said he wanted to do more research before commenting, and has since taken down the facebook post.
