Rochester city council members are here inside the government center for a council meeting.

I reached out to every city council member to find out where they stand on masking guidelines... here's what i've found out.

I have received responses from 6 of 8 members.

Mayor kim norton says she does wear a face mask especially in situations where social distancing is difficult.

Councilmember s wojcik?

Keane?

Campion?

Bilderback?

And palmer all responded saying they wear masks..

Some pointing out that they make different choices depending if they're in an indoor or outdoor setting.

I spoke to council member shaun palmer about whether he thinks city leaders should set an example when it comes to masks.xx i think that its smart to do.

I know when i went shopping at hyvee i wore my mask and they require that.

If im out and about, if im running, i dont wear a mask but if im going to be around people, i think its respectful to do that and i think city council people do set a good example for that i have not received responses from council president randy staver?
