Pastor of PBFC speaks out about Mother's Day service; a COVID-19 case was in attendance

Church in palermo is now facing some community backlash after holding a mother's day service.

Action news now vanessa romo is live at the church with what the pastor is saying& i went to the pastor's house earlier today and he is in self- quarantine and has nothing more to say right now.

But just this past weekend, he spoke about the service that hundreds of people attended.it was never my heart to put our church in harm's way.

It's never been my desire.

The pastor of palermo bible family church speaking out in a facebook video.

They didn't feel sick in anyway, zero symptoms, they didn't feel symptoms afterwards but they did test and they did test positive, but they didn't do it intentionally& the butte county public health department says one person tested positive for covid-19 just days after going to a mother's day service at p-b-f-c &.

& over 180 people attended that service i would love to be going places because that's what we do.

We're social people, but we got to be cautious& and for this to happen, it's like ahhhh did they really do this& unfortunately when you step out in front and stride to lead, you become a target.

Im not perfect.

Im going to make mistakes, but when you step out you become a target.

The butte county health department says several attendees have tested negative for covid-19.

It is unclear how many and if any tested positive.
