Alabama Department of Labor fixing website issues
New information -- more problems for people in alabama relying on unemployment checks right now.
The state admitted another round of issues with its website.
This error impacted about 53 thousand people.

The problems started as soon as the coronavirus hit alabama.
Constant problems with the department of labor's website, delayed checks and a lack of communication.
Now the state says it fixed another two issues.
In a series of tweets the alabama department of labor apologized for an error message telling about 53 thousand people their weekly claims were suspended on saturday.
Then a second issue popped up when people went to file their weekly losses saying someone else already submitted the information for them saturday.
The department of labor said all of these messages were errors and that it's fixed the glitches by sunday.
Keep in mind though, the department rolled out an addition to it's website 5 weeks into the pandemic to make it easier for people to apply for unemployment benefits because of the coronaviurs.
According to the department of labor it's given 1 billion dollars in unemployment benefits to over 250,000 alabamians.
