Tropical storm blows trees and shakes signs in northern Thailand

A tropical summer storm hit north-eastern Thailand today.

Footage taken by resident sheltering in a shop shows trees and signs being blown as motorists struggled through the strong wind and rain in Nakhon Ratchasima province.

Topical storms and flash floods have swept though out the region over the last few weeks as temperatures at the start of summer have soared past 40C (104 Fahrenheit) in Thailand, which is entering its hottest time of the year before the annual rainy season.
