Here in the tri- state - a peaceful gathering canceled due to the rain - but others - still angry - with reports of possibly looting and rioting planned in evansville - we go now to 44news reporter erran huber - he is the various out- cries -- coming from our tri- state communities.

He joins us live with what we've learned about the movement - going forward.

As protests and rallies continue across america this week where things stand here in the area.

Tonight--as rumors on social media point to possible unrest surrounding upcoming demonstrations across the tri state.

Vansville police is responding in advance with a tweet:?we are receiving inquiries about potential businesses and locations that may be targeted.

Please know that we are monitoring any perceived threats.

So far this week, people coming together in the tri state have remained peaceful throughout wednesday evening--officers in uniform even prayed together with the faithful in downtown madisonville.?wee been really fortunate to have the leaders we do.

And i really wish that everywhere across the nation would actually be able to demonstrate like they do in madisonville/hopkins county.

Because it been phenomenal?

Throughout this week--and on both sides of the ohio river-- people from all walks of life have been out trying to get their message across peace and reconciliation during a time of crisis.

Because the bible says violence begets violence.

We cannot get anywhere and have the ear of people that can make change if there's constant violence.

We have to find a way to sit down at the table of brotherhood, and come up with common sense solutions.

Local leaders throughout the tristate have praised demonstrators for the lawful expression of first amendment rights.?we are completely in support of everybody first amendment right to free speech.

We love it that the faith community is taking a stand on this and really helping out everybody in the community?
