Our team coverage continues now... tonight we're hearing from protestors after they demanded justice - called for an end to police brutality - and marched to spread the word that black lives matter.

Hundreds of people came out to peacefully protest this evening around big spring park and the madison county courthouse for more than 5 hours.

Waay-31s alexis scott has been there all evening and spoke with a man who says he'll protest every day until something changes.

Alexis... hundreds of people walked around this area more than 10 times chanting things like black lives matter and no justice no peace... and while many will ask people for change... one man wants to demonstrate it by being here in handcuffs and lying face down on the grass every day until something gets done.

Moe town "it couldve been you.

It could have been your child.

It could have been your cousin, sister, brother, mother, anyone, it could have been you," this protester came out with his hands cuffed and laid down for the majority of the 5 hour long protest in downtown huntsville.

As hundreds of people marched around the downtown square... he told me he had a different tactic while making sure the message is still clear.

And that's that everyone wants to keep things peaceful and doesnt want anyone hurt with tear gas ... rubber bullets... or police force.

"if things turn sour and everyone is actually doing this, they cant use anything against us other than the fact that we've been nothing but peaceful and we dont want to cause anything," several protesters told me they want to see a change and will continue to say loud and clear that police brutality wont be tolerated.

And the man i spoke with says he wants law enforcement agencies across the country to keep everything peaceful ... because they're supposed to be there for the community and with everything going on surrounding police brutality... he needs them to hear this.

"if you come to my restarunt and you ask me to cook your food, you expect me to serve you good food and fantastic service thats the service that i'll give to you, we expect the same as a community to you organizers told me they're in the process of working up documents to keep a peaceful conversation going with local officials and law enforcement reporting live in huntsville alexis
