Protesters Want All Body Cam Footage Released in the Fletcher Case

Fletcher pointed a gun at officers.

As casey mentioned, part of the protest was centered on the release of the body camera footage showing the shooting in full.

A group has gathered outside of the planet fitness every sunday to call for its release.

There's signs..

Shirts... and people demanding to release the full body camera footage of what happened to dana fletcher back in october of last year.

There's been protests every single day for the last week for those killed by police.

I spoke with a young girl who told me this means a lot to her.

There were people at the protest of all ages including some children... yelling things like black lives matter and no justice no peace.

Dana fletcher died on october 27th after madison police shot him outside of the planet fitness.

Shauntia ward decided to come out and participate today.

She says it's hard to look at what's going on in the news because of the number of cases we've seen over the years.

She says even though she's young, she knows she can make a difference.

It's important for me to be out here, for the youth to be out here because we are the future.

We're the ones that can change this.

We have control over what goes on from here on out so i think it's important that not only am i out here but i wish most of my friends were out here with me shauntia ward and many other young people recognize this important moment in history and they say they will be out protesting whenever they can.
