Local scout raises money for Whitestown Vets Club

Halloween flooding nearly eight months ago.

And as news channel two's gary liberatore shows us...they recieved an awful lot of help today, thanks to a local high school junior.

(nat) not hundreds... (nat) but thousands of bottle and cans came pouring in to the whitestown vets club on saturday.... (david payne, vice commander) .

This has cost the club a lot of money, its been very difficult on us between the storm and the coronavirus but the eagle scouts with their help were gonna come back soon."

The club suffered extensive damage during the historic halloween flooding last year.

So nicholas ford..a junior at new york mills high school...and a boy scout with troop 111 in whitesboro...decide d to hold this bottle and can drive to help the club...and to help him attain the rank of eagle scout... and he and his fellow troop 111 volunteers are not stopping with this bottle and can drive..they are going to also give their time to... tc : 49:30 "clean up as much as we can and maybe add a few benches, restain all the picnic tables."

We should all try to attain the rank of eagle...and we would all see a much better america.
