If you want to get a coronavirus test right now, there are places you can go.

Wayne hereford put that question to two separate health clinics in our area today and joins us live with what health care workers are seeing there.

Both are seeing a rise in testing right now and both are accepting just about anyone for a test especially if there are symptoms. ."

"we will allow them to be tested if they have a fever, new onset cough, new onset shortness of breath or any loss of taste or smell dr. erik dukes works for north mississippi medical clinics which operates the booneville medical clinic.

He says there are more people taking tests right now at the clinic and they have plenty of testing supplies.

We wanted to know who can take a test at the clinic.

He says you can walk into their clinics without symptoms and take a coronavirus test.

We actually have a rapid antigen test that takes about ten or fifteen or thirty minutes to return a result on."

He says normally they look for patients with symptoms at the clinic.

"if you'r asymptomatic, its much better to isolate and check for those symptoms that i mentioned."

The med plus clinic in tupelo is also seeing a rise in testing right now.

"we test any and everyone that need's to be tested according to our medical providers.

So we're screening people as they call or come by the clinic.

Obviously we're walk-in clinic.

We're also letting people register for the test at med plus cares-dot-com."

John logan owns med-plus clinics in tupelo and fulton.

He says that he too has plenty of testing supplies.

"we can test pretty much as many people as need to be tested at this time."

Both professionals say that maintaining cdc guidelines is the key to staying safe during this pandemic.

That includes , social distancing, wearing masks, and not touching your face are very important especially if you are not showing any symptoms right now.
