High School Football in Question
Masks to be required for sports starting Monday July 27th

Month on sunday august 23rd with the indiana high school football season offically less than a month away, the question remains will we have friday night lights this fall?

Earlier today governor eric holcomb announced that started monday july 27th residents in indiana would be required to wear a mask.

No word as of yet on how this could impact high school fall sports, especially football.

The governor said masks will be required for sports activities, with the exception of strenuous physical activity.

It hasn't been said yet what sports fall in that category.

Earlier in the week the ihsaa said they had no plans of shutting down for fall sports and local high school football coaches in the area are in agreenment, they want to play this fall.

<of course, i think we need it, we want it.

It's out there and i just feel like we have to learn to live with this thing until we get it figured out and we can't just keep stopping.

You know if the data is there and it shows hey we just can't do this, i get it.

But if the data's not there for everybody, i almost think...again, if we don't have it blowing up here in vermillion county.

If in the wrc it's not an issue, our kids need to be in school, our kids need to be at practice, our kids need to have structure.>
