Found dead... the twenty one year old from st louis went out in oxford on a friday night (this was the last time she was seen in public)... map the next morning - she was found dead nearly thirty miles away with multiple gunshot wounds... but this morning - this case is anything but closed... the county coroner - rocky kennedy told us her autopsy isn't even complete... and with the lack of staff at the state crime lab after several technicians resigned - there's no telling when it will be done... people that knew her say she was a ray of sunshine - someone they were proud to call a friend... but it's a different story for the man behind bars - charged with her murder... brandon theesefeld... a 22 year old from texas... and former ole miss student was know around campus as a hot head - some called him "shady and sketchy"... friends and classmates say the two knew each other..

They say they had a dating relationship... they were seen out together several times and in pictures on social media... but that's about all we know... this morning- as far as we know - theesfeld is still sitting in the lafayette county jail... the defense asked the state for a psychological evaluation -- another entity of the state's system that is extremely back logged... and from what we've been told by sources close to the case - has not be completed either... i reached out to theesfelds attorney by phone multiple times - but all i got was a busy tone... then i tried email... and nothing... there's still a lot of questions and a lot of missing pieces in this case... but it's one we will continue to follow - and bring you the latest - whenever that be..
