The "south vermillion school corporation" is making sure students have everything they need at the click of a button at 5 o'clock...we told you the school corporation was awarded 246 thousand dollars in grant money.

It's a piece of the "cares act".

Now... news 10's richard solomon tells us what equipment the students will be receiving.

And south vermillion school leaders say as the virtual world takes over...it's important their students have everything they need to be successful remotely.

While everyone's getting more in tune with their computers, students may run into problems. jacqueline roberts is an english teacher at south vermillion high school.

She says the transition to mainly being online wasn't that challenging..but they've run into some issues.

"we've had a number of families with kind of spotty connectivity, no connectivity where they live.

And that's an enormous concern for us" now...the corporation has money to stop the buffering.

They've been awarded nearly $250,000 from the governor's emergency education relief fund.

On their shopping list... verizon wifi hot spots for kids without wifi.

Special programs like stem will get new windows and chrome books and teachers like roberts aren't left out either..

They'll be getting new macbooks.

"for us to stay on the leading edge of things there's upgrades.

Being able to give them those resources that they need in order to be successful that means the world" school leaders say they'll have a meeting to determine how much of each piece of technology they'll need.
