Beware of voter registration fraud, circuit clerk says

Out for fake voter registration websites..

Wayne hereford talked to the clerk about which website mississippians should use to register to vote.

"the lee county circuit clerk here at the lee county justice center says that you have to be very careful right now simply because there are a lot of fake registration sites online."

"the problem is now is that there are a lot of fraud websites saying that you can update your registration online and those kinds of things.

I have even gotten people saying here's my confirmation.

And we don't do that in the state of mississippi we havce to have your signature."

Lee circuit clerk camille dulaney showed me a fake website that is out there simply set up to take your vital information.

Natsound.."that's a fake one.

That's fake.

Do not do anything like this."

Then she showed me the right website to register to vote on.

Its called yall -dot-com and is run by the secretary of state's office.

"it'll tell you like i'm in lee county ..... "the secretary of state's office actually has some fantastic information."

Standup "again, she says the safest thing to do is to go on yall vote.dot.com.
