In less than an hour... the fayette county school board will meet to decide if students will be returning to school for in-person classes.

Thatr's tonight's top story at five.

L3: abc 36 news white fayette county school board to decide on in-person classes under covid-19 guidelines issued by the state... a school district can hold in-person classes if the county is not in the "red zone" in the state's covid-19 incident map.

Fayette county is currently in the red zone and... in a letter sent to parents on friday... superintendent manny caulk said it's unlikely fayette county would be out of a red zone because of the number of positive cases at the university of kentucky.
