Hear From The Candidate: Chico City Council District 5 - Andrew Coolidge

My name is Andrew Coolidge and I'm running for City Council in District 5 with some of the highest crime and Chico in the worst roads has been all but abandoned by the city council over the last two years the areas face bike and walking trails line with trash inadequate bike lanes for Street lighting a rash of crimes including package theft car break-ins and bite that trash and needles have overtaken both window Channel and little Chico Creek creating an environmental disaster which has been largely ignored we need calm intelligent and experienced leadership to get us out of this crisis let me repeat that we need to come intelligent and experienced leadership overinflated egos that go on social media rants or those without experience managing budgets would endanger our city even further Chico's hundred million dollars for your budget is no place to get real world training a business owner for 27 years at Chico State graduate a father two wonderful kids a past member of the council is served on dozens of boards and commissions I'm part of the team which helped Chico get out of its potential bankruptcy I know what needs to be done we need to protect our parks and Creeks we need to implement a community Court program to work on criminal transition issues we need to move to solar powered solutions for the city and provide our citizens with an evacuation plan in case of fire I'm asking for your boat so we can make progress in District 5 and progress in all of Chico
