JUCO Recap: Thursday, Oct. 15

NEMCC stays undefeated and ICC comes up just short in this week's JUCO Recap

County.

Friday nights are for high school and thursday nights are for juco.

Both nemcc and icc were on the field tonight, icc was on the road at northwest and nemcc hosted coahoma, matt st.

Jean gives us the recap.

Homecoming at tiger stadium, let's hop into 2nd quarter action.

Bryce wallace takes the snap inside the tiger 30, passes to the outside, tony washington jumps the route and he's going back the other way only a few men to beat and he's in the end zone for a tiger touchdown.but wait, the referees left some laundry on the field.

Holding on the tigers, takes the touchdown off the board.

They still led 10 to zero.

After a nemcc three and out, coahoma gets deep into tiger territory and tries to get on the board with a field goal and its blocked!

No good, score still 10 to nothing in favor of the tigers.

With less than a minute left in the half, the tigers trying to extend its lead to 17 before the break, kevin hurley going up top to andison coby, coby makes a great catch in the end zone, touchdown tigers!

Oooo but wait, you can see the ref, offensive pass interference, no touchdown.

The tigers had 14 points wiped off the board in the 2nd quarter due to penalties.that last one.not a great call in my humble opinion.

The rain started driving in the 2nd half, coahoma tied it up at 10, nemcc's john ellis murrah hit a field goal with under 3 minutes to play and that was the difference.

Nemcc moves to 3 and 0 on the season.

They host northwest next week.

Speaking of northwest, they hosted icc.

After going down 16 to nothing in the 1st quarter, the indians stormed back and had a chance for a last second field goal, but the rangers blocked it.

Icc now 0-2 on the year.

They are back home next week against mississippi delta.
