Medical experts are sharing their best tips to stay safe amid the pandemic.

Weeks away from halloween, and you might have some questions about how the night might look during the covid-19 pandemic... kq2's ron johnson shares advice from medical experts, and finds out how our community plans to celebrate: <<ron johnson reporting as halloween draws near, those looking forward to celebrating the evening in the traditional sense are hoping this year's no exception.

[parker colescott] nothing's gonna change really, i mean we're just going to go out for a couple hours.

I'll probably end up doing the candy duty as well so.

But of course, as we all know this year has been anything but traditional.

And whether you're planing a party or a night out trick or treating, the medical experts still say we all have to take the proper steps to stay safe from covid-19.

They remind us of the things not to do.

Anytime you're gonna gather together especially inside without a mask and not socially distanced with people who are sick, those are the wrong things to do.

Trick or treat!

They urge caution not just with partying, but also with trick or treating the cdc in their guidance has said that trick or treating in the traditional sense is high risk.

I think the main reason for that is the groups that are going trick or treating together people we spoke with as they were doing some of their halloween shopping said they didn't want to put too much thought behind the precautions but they are still taking them.

You know i didn't really think about it a whole lot you know we'll probably strap up with some masks and some gloves and just kinda feel it out and even those in the medical field say, just because halloween might have to be done a little different this year doesn't mean they don't want people to you can go do halloween, but keep your distance sure you stay safe, and if you go over and they come out try to stay apart a litle bit.

Ron news.>> k-u med doctors say halloween parties will likely be a hot-bed for spreading covid-19.
