The Butte County Sheriff's Office arrested three men for a double murder in the Oroville area.

Two men from florida were found shot to death in butte county.

Tonight, three oroville men are behind bars for the murders.

Action news now reporter esteban reynoso joins us now to explain this unusual case.

A case that spans the entire united states.

It all starts where the two florida brothers, jerry and randy bonds resided in lake wales, florida.

They took a flight across the country to los angeles where they rented a car and drove north to oroville.

Butte county sheriff's office says the family lost communication with the two once they entered butte county.

And the rental car was later discovered near reno, nevada with neither of them to be found.

Take second ma* that took investigators to ponderos* way in forbestown where the two were last seen and discovered their bodies with gunshot wounds, in a wooded area.

After gathering more information, it brought them to coho court in oroville where the final of three arrests were made.

Neighbors say the whole culdesac was filled with police cars and armed officers.

I spoke to one man who recalls his experience of the arrest.

"they came out in massive force.

There was at least 15, 20 officers.

We have your house surrounded, please come out with your hands up.

It was a well thought out procedure, i mean they knew what they were doing.

Yeah it does make you nervous though.

When you find out something like that especially."

B-c-s-o says the three men, austin hogan, kyle smith and michael griff are all charged with two counts of first degree murder.

Hogan and smith were arrested by detectives during a traffic enforcement stop.

Butte county swat executed the search warrant in oroville for griff.

Butte county sheriff says the three men are set to be arraigned at the butte county superior court on october 26th.
