Kimt news 3's madelyne watkins spoke with some voters monday to learn why they chose to forego election day today and vote early.

Madelyne... what did they say?

I spent the day outside of the olmsted county election's office and saw dozens of people voting early.

One guy i spoke with explains voting in?

"* person this year wasn't that different than other election years.

"it actually went very, very smooth.

I just walked in, they made me fill out the paperwork and i got my ballot, went in, did everything i had to do and walked out."

As for mailing in your ballot... if you didn't sent it back in minnesota... you must return it to your county elections office by 3 o'clock this afternoon.

In iowa... you can drop off your ballot in person by the time polls
