The health department says mask complaints and other coronavirus issues continue to roll in daily.

The vanderburgh county health department says they're waiting on new enforcement guidelines from indiana's governor's office - "the gov orders does say everyone should be social distancing wearing their masks that includes restaurants and bars" gov eric holcomb's office says the states alcohol beverage officers along with indiana department of homeland secruity will help local heath departments enforce new covid-19 restrictions placed on bars and restaurants - "the biggest change is that businesses are required to enforce their customers to wear masks when they're in a public area" the vanderburgh county health department says mask complaints and other issues continue to roll in daily - "we have a process we have started from the beginning where we do send out cease and desist letters and then possible include fines and shutting a bar or restaurant down" plain clothed agents and health officials plan to start enforcing those guidelines locally in the coming days - looking for critical violations "separating tables, making sure people aren't sitting within six feet of each other, is going to be a process we are going to develop in the next week with the help of our state agencies" anyone who works at a bar or restaurant is required to wear a mask at all times - anyone touching food should wear gloves - those guidelines in place since the pandemic began in march - the health department says if you have a complaint they want to hear from you - to learn how to file a complaint on a restaurant or bar not following the gov guidelines - head over to our website - wevv.com - and click on this story - reporting live in
