Because this is an ongoing investigation - the district said it is not able to give much information - only that it is making progress.

As for the possibility that information has been compromised - officials say they cannot disclose that - but will update parents as soon as they can.

I spoke with parents today - one said he is very concerned about possible stolen personal information, while another is not as worried.

Ben crow, parent: "any person that's registered on behalf of our daughter which is not just us, it's our parents, who can pick her up from school, it's their phone numbers, they're addresses, their contact info."

Kelly parks, parent: "i have safeguards in place if my information is taken, and i hope that most people do."
