Fascinating vintage toy market in Thailand has thousands of classic figures
Fascinating footage shows a vintage toy market in Thailand.
The sprawling night market is in the Chinatown area of the capital Bangkok and opens only on Saturday night.
Sellers from around the city display thousands of retro toys and figurines, including Marvel Comics superheroes from the 1980s and 1990s plus other iconic cartoon characters from around the world such as Gremlins, Barbies, Action Men and Disney heroes.
There are also stalls selling vintage computer game consoles, tamagotchis from Japan, Walkmans, and Discmans for listening to music before in the invention of smartphones and downloadable audio files.
The vintage toy market is the biggest in Thailand and unlike anything in neighbouring countries such as Malaysia, China, Myanmar or Indonesia.
