Local woman encourages others to volunteer at COVID-19 vaccine clinics

More and more people are becoming eligible for covid-19 vaccines.
Volunteers have been supporting vaccination efforts across the country and right here in the wabash valley.
News 10 spoke with a local woman who's been volunteering at the vigo county health department's covid-19 vaccine clinic.
"ellie templeton" says she started volunteering at the clinic in february because she wanted to be a part of the work being done to help the community.
"templeton" says becoming a volunteer is easy.
She went through some basic training and now assists healthcare workers and helps patients sign up for their second vaccine appointments.
Ellie templeton says, "the people that i've interacted with have been very pleasant and very excited to be able to get the vaccine and hopefully getting us starting to return to normal."
