Eco-Activists Glue Themselves to 66-Million-Year-Old Dinosaur

On October 30, activists with the group Letzte Generation glued themselves to a 66-million-year-old dinosaur in Berlin’s Natural History Museum, in efforts to raise awareness about the climate crisis and protest the lack of government action.

The protesters, both mothers, wanted to make the point that the climate crisis threatens everyone’s lives, with animals going extinct every day.

Caris Connell, one of the activists, said in a statement, ‘I am afraid of forest fires, water shortages, famine and war.

The dinosaurs became extinct because they couldn't withstand the massive climate changes.

The same threatens us: 150 species go extinct every day.

And that is just the beginning.’ » Sign up for our newsletter KnowThis to get the biggest stories of the day delivered straight to your inbox: https://go.nowth.is/knowthis_youtube » Subscribe to NowThis Earth: https://www.youtube.com/channel/nowthisearth #Earth #shorts #Environment #ClimateCrisis #NowThis Connect with NowThis Earth » Follow us on TikTok: https://go.nowth.is/Earth_TikTok » Follow us on Instagram: https://go.nowth.is/Earth_Instagram » Follow us on Snap: https://go.nowth.is/Earth_Snap » Follow us on Facebook: https://go.nowth.is/Earth_Facebook NowThis Earth is daily news coverage of climate, sustainability, biodiversity, species extinction, environmental justice, and other planetary concerns.
