When we look back at Season 13 of American Idol, we'll fondly remember it for a few things.
1.
Introducing us all to chart-topper, Grammy-winner, and eventual Idol Champ Jena Irene (FINGERS CROSSED).
2.
Having the best judging panel of any of the Idol seasons ever (Thank you, Harry Connick Jr. for bringing your amazing criticism to the Idol stage).
And most importantly, 3.
A series of firsts (First openly gay contestant, first time Idol has ever allowed contestants to sing original songs for votes during live final competition rounds, etc).
