Russia reports shooting down four US missiles.
On Monday, Russia claimed that four HARM missiles developed in the US had been shot down over airspace south of the Belgorod region.
These were anti-radar missiles, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, this was the first such assertion.
The Belgorod region, which shares a border with the eastern Ukrainian districts of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy, asserts that it is frequently attacked by Ukrainian forces.
According to the region's governor, Ukrainian fire caused one fatality and eight injuries on Sunday.
Authorities said that air defense personnel had been sent as a plume of smoke billowed over residential areas.
