Striking ambulance staff urge PM to negotiate

An ambulance dispatcher has said a lack of resources, hospital waiting times and staff shortages are to blame for strike action, as he called on the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to negotiate with union leaders.

Stephen McClusky, who took to the picket line in Lancashire, said: "It's upsetting because you want to help people and you can't, and it's not due to us as a Trust … we're trying our best with the resources that we've got and that isn't enough." Report by Buseld.
