We finally start the long trek back home from Grand Canyon but at least it should be a pretty easy flight today.
We are treated to a picturesque sunrise takeoff from KGCN as we head southeast to Winslow to check out Meteor Crater.
We follow route 66 into New Mexico, all while watching the crazy Martian-like landscape change before our eyes.
We start to see some familiar signs of home as we dropped back into the plains across the Texas panhandle and into Oklahoma for our fuel stop.
