The recent surge in tank losses in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is somewhat discordant with Ukraine's overall success in preserving the fleet of Western tanks, which currently includes 40 German Leopard 2A4 and 21 Leopard 2A6, several dozen Leopard 1A5, 10 Strv 122 from Sweden, 14 Challenger 2 units from the UK and 31 American-made M-1A1 vehicles.
Deliveries of additional batches of Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 are planned.
