Since 2019, starting with DeSantis & Trump, the GOP has been trying to skirt around the 1st Amendment to pass a special set of hate speech rules.
It completely goes against their logic of why they shouldn’t police speech, opinions & conversations.
But no one cares.
Because if you do have principles, they blacklist you.
Then they smear you.
Then they give your job to some soulless airhead who will play along for money, fame & social connections.
In recent years, more and more governors are passing these same hate speech phrases into their state’s law.
Most people are afraid to mention it because they know they might get fired or have their character smeared by more than just left wing media.
Right wing media will treat you just as bad.
The 1st Amendment is being completely destroyed and they will claim you’re being hateful if you don’t believe in special rules & speech policing.
How is America going to work if both sides are doing this?
