Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, had been in the Ecuadorean embassy since 2012, after seeking asylum until five years ago, where upon Julian Assange was arrested and taken from the Ecuadorian embassy on the 11th April 2019 to Belmarsh maximum security prison in London where he remains today.
