Utah officer charged after disturbing video showing police dog attack on Black man during arrest

Prosecutors say a Utah police officer has been charged with aggravated assault after ordering a dog to attack a Black man who had put his hands in the air. On body camera footage, the K9 officer Nickolas Pearce can be heard repeatedly praising the animal and saying "good boy" while it latched onto Ryans' left leg for about 20 seconds as he was being put in handcuffs.
