Court of Appeals judge resigns to take job at UMKC law school

Kansas Court of Appeals Judge Steve Leben is putting down the gavel, so he can take on a role at the University of Missouri-Kansas City's law school. The Fairway resident, who resigns in June, will become a full-time visiting professor of law, The Topeka Capital-Journal reports. Before being appointed to the Court of Appeals in 2007, Leben was a Johnson County district judge for nearly 14 years.
