Hawaii restaurants seek state support

The Hawaii Restaurant Association is seeking support from the state as restaurants grapple with new challenges under the statewide stay-at-home order. HRA, which represents hundreds of restaurants throughout the state, sent a letter to Gov. David Ige last week asking him to implement a business sustainment package “to greatly increase the chances of our industry’s survival.” Per the stay-at-home order, restaurants are considered essential businesses, but have had to close dine-in service…
