The Pfister Hotel temporarily closes during the COVID-19 pandemic

The Pfister Hotel, a top-tier Milwaukee hotel that's hosted presidents and other dignitaries, celebrities, sports teams and ongoing political and private events, is the latest local hotel to temporarily close its doors during the coronavirus pandemic. The Pfister, at 424 E. Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Milwaukee, said it closed Tuesday. The welfare of its employees was a top driver of the decision, according to its general manager Tim Smith.
