S&P/ASX 200 (INDEXASX:XJO) has surged 3.68% to 5930 at 12.44 pm after a three-session run of losses that wiped more than $125 billion from the benchmark index. All sectors are higher with the tech, property, consumer discretionary, and energy sectors each adding more than 4%. Overnight on Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDEXDJX:.DJI) closed 0.62% higher while the S&P 500 Index (INDEXSP:.INX) gained 0.8% after the US Federal Reserve announced more measures to support the market. The Fed said on Monday that it would buy individual corporate bonds, marking a broader approach to corporate bond buying. Previously the US central bank indicated it would buy bonds on the primary market, but Monday’s announcement marked an expansion of that into the secondary market. Top gainers The big four banks played a key role in driving the ASX 200 higher with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) gaining over 3.5%. Afterpay Ltd (ASX:APT) share price is continuing its remarkable run with the stock trading 9% higher at lunch. Lithium Australia's Soluna energy storage solution approved by Clean Energy Council Lithium Australia NL (ASX:LIT) and DLG Energy Co Ltd’s incorporated joint venture has had its Soluna battery energy storage systems approved by The Clean Energy Council (CEC), Australia’s peak body for clean energy. The JV, Soluna Australia Pty Ltd, has developed battery energy storage systems for residential applications including lithium-ion battery storage, a hybrid inverter and an advanced battery management system. CEC requires that all clean-energy products sold in Australia meet the highest international standards, which Soluna’s do.
