Dick's Sporting Goods to close on Thanksgiving

Dick's Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS) will join the list of retailers that will not get a jump on a traditionally busy Black Friday shopping weekend by being open on Thanksgiving. The Findlay-based sporting goods retailer announced today that it will be closed on Thanksgiving this year, Nov. 26, a measure that includes its distribution centers and its affiliated Golf Galaxy and Field & Stream stores.  The company's stores had been open on Thanksgiving in past years under limited evening hours.
