Gov. Tom Wolf on Tuesday announced that restaurants in Pennsylvania will be allowed to increase their indoor seating capacity to 50%, effective Sept. 21. The restrictions to 25% occupancy had been in place since July, when Covid-19 cases in Allegheny County and elsewhere around the state rose. It wasn't clear whether the new rules would include Allegheny County, which cut back on indoor restaurant capacity in late June due to its own rise in Covid-19 cases.
