Honda hopes to be out of gas by 2040. The automaker said it will accelerate its electrification aspirations with a goal of having 100% of North American sales by 2040 be battery-electric and fuel-cell vehicles. The intervening targets are 40% by 2030 and 80% by 2035. Honda’s current electrified vehicles, which includes hybrids, accounted for 4.8% of sales last year. The automaker will launch a series of new EV models in the second half of the decade based on its new e:Architecture platform.…
