Honda sets ambitious goals for electric and fuel cell vehicles

Honda hopes to be out of gas by 2040. The automaker said it will accelerate its electrification aspirations with a goal of having 100% of North American sales by 2040 be battery-electric and fuel-cell vehicles. The intervening targets are 40% by 2030 and 80% by 2035. Honda’s current electrified vehicles, which includes hybrids, accounted for 4.8% of sales last year.
